The short version: play fair, be kind, and know that coins, Stardust and items only exist inside the game. Purchases are final unless the law says otherwise, but if something goes wrong, tell us and we will try to make it right. If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian before you buy anything.

1. Who we are

Space Crates is an independent game made by a small, student-run team ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. By playing the game you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't play.

2. Playing and accounts

You can play without an account. Your progress is then saved only in your browser.
If you make an account, keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
If you are under 13, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to make an account.
Callsigns must be friendly. We can change or remove names that aren't.

3. Coins, Stardust and items

Coins, Stardust, crates, items, season passes and nameplates are virtual. We give you a personal, limited license to use them in the game. You don't own them, and they have no value outside the game.
They cannot be sold, exchanged or cashed out for real money or anything else outside the game. Some items can be traded or listed with other players inside the game. Items from the store, the season pass and streak rewards can't be traded, listed, sold or fused.
Crates give random items. You open crates with coins you earn by playing, or coins you get through a coin pack. The chances for each rarity are shown in the game.
We may rebalance prices, drop rates and item stats to keep the game fair and fun.

4. Purchases

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Prices are in US dollars. What you buy is added to your account, usually within a minute.
A season pass covers one season. The cosmetics and rewards you claim are yours to keep after the season ends.
If you are under 18, you must have a parent's or guardian's permission to buy anything.

5. Refunds

All purchases are final, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If you were charged by mistake, a purchase never arrived, or a child bought something without permission, report it within 14 days using the link at the bottom of this page, and we will look into it. If a payment is refunded or charged back, we remove what it bought, including any Stardust that came with it.

6. Fair play and conduct

No cheating, hacking, editing your save, exploiting bugs or using bots.
No harassing, threatening or impersonating other players.
Report players in the game. Moderators can pause trading, remove items or coins gained unfairly, and suspend or ban accounts.

7. Changes and availability

The game is in active development. Features, seasons and items may change or end. We may update these terms; if the changes are important, we'll tell you in the game. If we ever shut the game down, we'll give at least 30 days' notice in the game.

8. No warranty and limits

The game is provided "as is". We work hard to keep it running and bug-free, but we can't promise it always will be. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses, lost progress, or anything beyond the amount you paid us in the past 12 months.
